The Education Department strives to inspire and stimulate an environment for exploring issues of contemporary
Native arts and cultures. Through IAIA Museum programs, the public gains
exposure to some of the educational topics and issues that are currently
being addressed in the IAIA studios and classrooms. The education department
facilitates learning experiences that allow museum visitors to delve into
some of the intellectual, artistic, technical and professional issues
of the contemporary indigenous artist.
Through workshops, gallery discussions and artist residencies, museum
visitors can meet and discuss current topics with some of the most compelling
Native American artists working today.
